Volunteer Opportunities

There are numerous volunteer jobs available throughout each swim season and school term.  Below are a few of the positions available.  If you see anything that interests you or you find yourself available to lend a hand please let us know.

Committee Members - Each year several individuals are elected to serve on the FAS committee.

Special Event Coordinators - Events like the club's annual travel meet and presentation night require planning and coordination each year.

Club Uniform Contact - Coordinate design, purchase, and orders for club uniforms during the swim season.

Website Maintenance Likely the most glamorous and respected job in the club.

Social Media - Facebook and Twitter as well as coordinating updates to the schools and local news outlets when appropriate.

FAS Racenights - Join us in putting on these fun events for the club and Bayside community.

  • Timers - Each lane of the FAS pool requires a timer.  This is excellent practice for timing at larger meets and gives you a front row seat to the action.
  • Sausage Sizzler - Most every race night includes a gold coin sausage sizzle which means someone gets the honor of cooking/burning sausages for the occasion.  It is often helpful to have an assistant for prep and sales.

FAS hosted meets - We host 3 meets each year which serve as the primary FAS fundraising events.  It takes a huge effort to organize and run each meet.  Please consider volunteering for one or more of the positions below.  We always have room to train people in new positions.  Most positions are filled for the entire morning or afternoon session.
